Multiple exposure

I adore double/multi exposure. This one was on some film that expired in the 80's. The 'amen' sign somehow fit perfectly in the space between frames!

This was on a Super Baldax folder. Much easier to get perfectly aligned doubles.

This is more of a conjoined exposure... it might take a moment before one realizes where the joint is. Hint: the sky gives it away.

I made some double exposed portraits, using the 'run it through twice' technique: I shot an entire roll of informal/environmental portraits. Then I rewound and reshot the film a second time - this time with various places.

Here are three frames where that worked out for me:

I'm gonna try it again!

This one almost changed my mind about double exposures ( proper term for me was "screwed up again " :) . Peter

Mishaps

Mishaps

Accidentally ran a roll through the camera twice.

I particularly like the second one because it looks like my friend is taking a picture of his back. The first exposure was inside a coffee shop, the second was outside. A group of us had met up to do a photo-walk, and in the excitement, I forgot which roll was used and which was new. Sure enough, one roll came back from the lab completely blank.

Once, in Las Vegas of all places, it took about 10 frames before I noticed that the rewind knob didn't turn...

Apparently the film must have slipped from the take up spool after the first advance or so... and created a multiple (several) exposure image.
