Dear Friends,
next March 17-18-19 I will be in Munich (Germany) as a tourist, and of course I will have my cameras with me.
Is there any good shop for films and chemicals for BW home developing? can anybody advice where I can get interesting pictures?
Thanks for any help!

Have a nice day

Mauro,

The other photo forum I frequent, thephotoforum.com, has a moderator named LaFoto, who lives in Germany. She is planning a huge get-together for March 2008. (which is 'next March')

You might either ask her for tips, as I'm pretty sure she has either researched it or has been there before. Or.... you could plan the vacation to join with that group, and it would be a guided tour by a photo-oriented German. I don't think it could get better than that.

Find one of LaFoto's posts on thephotoforum, and click the links in her signature for full details. The stuff she has planned will blow your mind, as a tourist. Start saving money now! ;)

Well, there's Sauter http://www.foto-video-sauter.de and Dinkel in the LANDWEHRSTR. 6.

But Sauter's BW home developing range has shrunk - and I get most of my stuff online these days - although they have plenty of film. Dinkel has 4x5 film as well, for example.

The area around Viktualienmarkt is pretty.

I can't promise that I have time because I have a lot of family business at the moment and maybe I am in Spain at this time. But send me a PM 2-3 days before you travel to Munich, I live about 70 km away and work in Munich. If I don't have time I know some places.

About film and chemicals: If there is a shop with a good selection of chemicals I don't know where but film is no problem.

cioa Mauro,

when ever I'm for a trip to munic I visit one of the museums,
pinakothek, old, new and modern.
On sunday the entrance is free so you can visit it easy.

In the new pinakothek I took this sesssion in front of a famos hodler painting:

Thanks a lot to all of you!
I look forward to visiting Munich again (my first time was in 1987, when I met with a friend living in Freising).
I know that 2 1/2 days is not a long period, but I will try to use it in the best way...with my Kiev 4 in my hands.
Traveller, it is very kind of you: so I will try to send a PM before my departure.

Ciao!
