I will probably sell the GX1 when the new Oly comes out, but I like the pictures I'm getting out of this sensor, even at high ISO. These are at 6400, no NR applied. The Nokton is of course wide open; I focused on the fly, without magnification. Definitely lost some highlights here and there but I still like these. Shot RAW then teased a bit in Lightroom.

The musicians are Mary Lorson (http://marylorson.com/), Jennie Lowe Stearns (http://jenniestearns.com/) and their bands. The whole set is here.

Nice band photos. It's a pretty intoxicating lens to use, isn't it. I love the output I get from mine, but I also know that I have no business owning a sub-$1K lens. Oh well, the macro feature itself is worth like $300 to me, so that makes it a bit more bearable. Toss in an extra $150 for the 1-stop advantage over the Leica and it evens out somewhat. Lol . . . Who am I kidding.

I really like that first shot. Noise/grain isn't bad there. Definitely an improvement from the old 12 mp sensor.

Yeah, m4/3 has definitely come a long way. And the image samples from the new Oly are really compelling.

It really is a delight getting to use such a fast lens on such a small camera--and wide open it remains pretty sharp. Looking forward to seeing some image samples of the new 35mm.

Nice set Robert, thanks for posting! No worries about those highlights. Never trust a band whose gig photos are perfectly exposed.
