I was watching (again) Black's wonderful Life video on Youtube. The photography in this video is just amazing.
What other songs are you aware of that have beautiful photography? Post them here.

Herb Ritts was not only a good photographer he also directed quiet a few music videos. Some of them have some more than decent cinematography.

I like lots of Sade's music videos. Nice photography accompanied by beautiful music... And it sure helps that Sade is gorgeous!
Some of my favorites are "Cherish the day" and "King of sorrow".

Does anyone remember the "Art of Landscape" music videos broadcasted by Channel 4?

I was confused when I read this post, and I'm not much wiser. I saw that video you mentioned, perhaps for the first time a couple of months ago and I thought that it was, indeed, marvellous. But I've just watched it again (and it is excellent) but, apart from the occasional backdrop, there aren't actually very many photographs in it.
Perhaps you may have meant cinematography, instead? Music videos with great cinematography are out there, for sure: I can think of a few. Videos featuring great photography = not so easy to find.
Cheers,

Is probably my favorite "best" music video. It's pretty simple, but well staged, lit, and shot - and most of all it is interesting and coherent.
I recently came across this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHLbaOLWjpc which is exceptionally well lit and composed.
There are a lot more videos I would post, but I'll need to find official uploads first.

According to my understanding its all well and good to refer to cinematography as photography.
One may talk about motion picture photography or film photography to make a distinction to regular photography, but still it is photography. In film productions they still have 'directors of photography', responsiple of the so called cinematography.
In the fairly recent film 'Ida', for instance, there is exceptional photography. Every scene is like a beatifull b&w shot.
Regarding music videos, Brian Ferry's 'Slave to love' springs to mind.

You may or may not like the music (I really do...), but "I Fink u Freaky" from "Die Antwoord", a south african cross over hip-hop techno I don't know what band. It was directed/shot by DavidBallen, a US photographer. It's strange, to say the least, but the photography is just brilliant.
If you can't bear this music and like more mainstream to accompany the pictures, nearly everything from Michel Gondry is really impressive IMHO.

It's a subject I think is interesting personally, because there is some overlap between aspects of motion picture imaging and still photography, and other aspects of them that are very different. But if the term "photography" is used on a site aimed squarely at the practice of still imaging, with a meaning other than its usual and primary meaning intended, it's hardly surprising then, that the ordinary meaning of the word might be presumed.
