I am close to having 1000 posts. Should I carefully plan my 1000th. posting so that it coincides with some important event? Should I just happily continue with posting on issues and not worry?

I'm getting close to 2000...I think all it means is that I have way, way too much to say. Then again, Joe is almost at 12,000, right? 🙂

I hope that everybody understands that I am giving up one of the last three posting slots beforethe "1000" mark. Considering that I joined in November 2005, I will be having 1000 postings in less than five months, or maybe 200-225 postings a month. I like the idea of psoting what I perceive as my best photo. Tomorrow is my birthday ... an important day for me. I better save "myself" until then!

I decided to use up my 1000st post to congratulate Frank S on his 5000st post on RFF. It seems appropriate.

Waiting would have never gotten you there. Keep posting, it is fun.

Here are some of my favorite photos. I hope you like them.
These photos bring back memories of the years when I was totally into photography and I experimented with all types of lenses. These are posted in my PN portfolio, and if you have already seen them, it is just a repeat.

Raid,
Maybe you could do an essay on your tag line. BTW, how would you characterize some of the others--Titanium, Anthracite?

Seriously.

Fred

Fred: Maybe I am not so sharp, but do you mean by my "tag line"? Please explain.

I think #7 and #8 are one of your best, Raid. And I remember #10...oh, how little many people realize that point!

Thanks, Gabrielma. The number 10 photo has many meaning for people who have relocated to other countries. In Germany, the problem is quite obvious.

When I was in Vienna, there was this huge sign for a TV show (with what's-her-face, I don't remember) that read, if I recall correctly (a friend that I traveled with that week translated for me), something like: "the issue with foreigners; I understand your concerns"; that same week I saw Haider being shown as one of the guests. It was up for only two days (the one of what's-her-face) and quickly removed --they are diligent and vigilent about that sort of thing in Austria, I did get that. Hey, je suis un mexicain à l'Amerique, Ich verstehe das problem 😉 (cue Gershwin)

-.-.- Thanks for the contributions, Raid. Keep them coming!
