My 1st M Wedding

Thanks! I've been lurking around this forum since I fell in love with rangefinders about a year ago. I'm really new to film (about 4 months old). I currently have a Big M6 and a Summicron-C and the entire wedding was shot with that. Wish I had another M body and a wider fast lens. I also shoot with a Mamiya C220.

Beautiful shots. This has been getting me thinking of my own wedding work and if I could go back to film again. What is your work flow like with film? Do you have prints made, or do you have the film processed and scanned and work then work digitally or???

Beautiful shots. This has been getting me thinking of my own wedding work and if I could go back to film again. What is your work flow like with film? Do you have prints made, or do you have the film processed and scanned and work then work digitally or???

Hi Bill. I came from the digital world and had really good gear but I still felt that something was missing from my shots. It was just too clean too perfect. I process the film in my bathroom before scanning and working on them digitally. Its easier to produce nice coffeetable books that way.I don't really do much on the computer except for cloning off dust and maybe a little adjustment.

Thanks so much! I push Tri-X 400 to 1600 and develop with Tmax dev 1:4 @ 20 deg C for 8 mins. Seems to work for the kind on contrast that I like.

Tri-X pushed to 1600 ... that explains the contrast! Several of the 400 films on the market look a lot better to me when pushed!
