My 2 years RFF with rangefinder cameras and RFF

Kitaanat, what a brilliant and beautiful set of frames!!! You have a wonderful eye for geometry and tones; your work and talent speaks volumes in your photographs.

I always try to shoot long exposure with my Kodak Retina.
This picture use 1 sec. shutter speed and very lucky that the other cars not yet arrived (only their head lamp that add worm light to the push cart). I put my camera on a hand rail and shoot.

other long exposure shot taken from 1/4-1/8 sec.

I have to say that all the shots are great but this one: WOW!
to get the man in the cart to be lit with a car's headlight and having the others cars' light trails - how decisive a moment can it be?

Interesting use of 50mm focal length

I agree with the others: very well done! Happy anniversary! The picture above shows a very intriguing use of the Retina's lens: it has a 35mm, almost 28mm feel to it. So it goes to show that the "one lens approach" can cover quite some ground!

Very nice! You've really put that IIIC to good use. I see you have all the Aux lenses for it as well. Using those lenses requires real Retina dedication!

Very nice indeed. You have a good sense for photography.

I have two broken Retinas, and since I still have lenses for such a camera, I need a camera.

Really nice and a change from the "typical" shots I see of Bangkok on Flickr, photosig etc.

Keep shooting and posting,

John

It's been an adventure seeing your shots... They show how much pleasure your eyes feel...

Congratulations! Hope to see more before your second year...

Cheers,

Juan

I'm glad you, my friends, like it. The camera I use have engraved a number on the back that may be id number of the previous owner. May be he help me take these shots too 😀 There are some rolls to develop and some need to scan. I'll upload more soon.

Thanks for your nice word which give me much energy to to and take more picture.

Thanks friends. I'm very happy you like it.

TWoK, Thank you very much. Your vision of Thailand are great and really inspire me.

Brian, you & Spider67 gave me some Retina IIIC info and that it's a very kind of you and all members here which I'll never forget. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your wonderful comment.
I love Retinas because its size and leaf shutter and it's another fine piece of German work which I can't put it down after the first time I found it.

My Kodak Retina IIIC and accessories.

The Schneider Retina Longar Xenon 4/80mm may come from different model of Retina which I noticed that the lens have older design and red delta mark. But the scale focus works correctly with it.

It was about 8.30pm (i guess) that night. While I try to finish the test roll in my new Retina IIIc (small c) to check the internal light meter.

I took these pictures from both side of Silom road:

and I found the push cart came from left side. I felt excited and changed the camera setting quickly. The push cart came to the middle of the road. I waited (about 3-4 sec.) until the traffic light turn green and shoot. I think I'm very lucky that can took this picture because the second shot the motorcycle already appear. The chance is open for me about 10 second. If I failed to shoot I must sleepless for a week for sure. 🙂

Thanks LJos, I usually use 50mm for almost 90% of my picture. I found that my eyes seem to have 50mm frame line 😀. If I can have only 1 lens to go everywhere it will be 50mm. (my favorite focal lenght)

The Retina cam is a little bit complicate when using 35mm/80mm because it's range finder is designed for 50mm only. For 35/80 need to re-adjust the focus again before take a picture.

I really like your photos, and their titles! Especially "the fragments behind", "alone", "walk more" and "a challenge"... but they're all cohesives.

As Tony stated it, I also need to take more shots, but I already have too much film waiting to be developed/scanned/pp'd... 🙁

Still, it's another proof that we all should never leave our homes without a camera! That's exactly why I'm looking for a Mamiya RZ67... ;-)

Seriously though, your Retina is quite nice.
