Ive had a R2a and 35mm Ultron for almost a month now and I love it. However using it last week in Florence it suddently stopped working!

The film advance crank is stuck, i.e it wont allow me to advance it, but then the shutter has already fired, i.e. i can depress the shutter as if to take a shot (yet no shot is taken) yet I cant advance the film either. I thought it might be something to do with batteries but I replaced them and no luck.

Does anyone have any ideas? It's such a joy to use, I really dont want to have to send it back under warranty to get fixed...
Thanks in advance!

If you have warranty you'd better do send it, my friend bought second hand bessa and after a year or so it developed a shutter/advance lever issue, finding repairman who would do it was quite complicated but eventually he made it click and roll again.

This happened to me once, I remember fiddling about with the camera and fixing it and it never happened again. Maybe I pressed the shutter when advancing? Can you rewind the film? Then open her up, that could work (or it could be impossible, I don't know. Sorry I can't remember what I did).
