If you are relying on the Canon 7's meter I'd suggest you double check with a more reliable meter. Chances are the cells in that camera are shot or on their way out. Unless you do a little testing, it's hard to say what the problem is... but my first guess is that old meter.

I'm assuming that you're using the camera's built in light meter. Check it against another meter. That meter in the camera is about 40 years old and not many meters will last that long and work at all. Quality Lightmetric is great at repairing old meters but I'm not sure if they'll work on a built in meter. Best bet is to buy a light meter.

Also note that the meter has two ranges, with one range you read from the white aperture numbers, with the other range you read from the orange aperture numbers. Using the wrong one would lead to major exposure errors.

Ok i will buy a separte light metor, but the aputure ring fells like its coming of i meen the mount for the apture ring an answers ? and a flash for a canon 7 ? should i buy??

The meter: Why buy a new light metyer before checking on the one you have? Test it, as I and others have suggested.

The lens: If you look at the iris in the lens as you turn the "loose ring" you should see it opening up and closing down - at f/16 it should be tiny, at 1.8 it should open up wide. It's very easy to check.

The flash: Buying the flash unit is your call. I wouldn't use one. Ever.

Looking back, it seems you might have bought this from KEH - I'd suggest you think about contacting them about any problems you might be having and consider returning it. Especially if the lens is malfunctioning. I think you'd be better off with a Canon P, personally. Smaller, no meter malfunctions.

I Brought len and body from MW Classic Cameras Ltd, i shot one test roll and every photo came out like this

all over exposed to light reading but all came out like this, i will try explian. on my canon f1.8 lens the front mount were the aprture ring is situated is lose i dont know why maybe this is efecting the picters ?.

Kane, there doesn't seem to be much wrong with this exposure. No meter would be able to give you a well-exposed portrait here. I think you should start reading some photography basics to begin with. Lighting, backlight, exposure correction, etc.
