My developer has turner gray

I'm using ID11, and after about four films, it turned dark gray - almost black. I've never noticed this happening before, but until now I've always had it in colored bottles. Could it have something to with the bottle being an old orange juice bottle?
I used it for one more film and it was fine. But it does make me nervous.
Should I dump it?

I have only used ID:11 as a one shot developer but it may be anti halation dye from the film. It is probably harmless if that's the case.

Orange juice is pretty acidic. That developer is basic.

That's supposed to work, I hear. But only after drinking copious amounts of instant coffee and eating a minimum of one pound of asparagus.
