Consider the possibility that your fan Cherri, is a bald but otherwise hairy, over-weight 55 year-old named Chuck who likes boys with long blonde hair.

Hey, a fan's a fan, why be fussy 🙂

LOL this aint a blind date, it's a photoshoot! She's cute (she has about 20 different photo's on her myspace) but I'm taken anyways 😉

Ash

She may be a nice girl, she may have a job and independence, and there may be camera shops to look in, if you visit. Just remember to wash up over Xmas for mum and sister.

well we're meeting in bristol, so I get to avoid Ace Cameras (bath).

@teasing: don't worry, I give as good as I get
😀

Nah, I'm taking the Contax, and Rolleiflex, thats as good as brick/breezeblock and sling.

Ash,
Just checked out your blog too, nice work. I'll have to spend more time with your photos. I noticed in the MF shots (great work with the Rolliecord!) of Rich (and by the way, the 35mm santa claus and superman shots are really fun) that you've got newton's rings on the scans (those weird wavy lines like gasoline on the surface of water)? You can get rid of them probably. Do you scan using a plate of glass? That's what I do, and I was getting them all over. You can put a little pad under one side of the glass so it doesn't rest totally on the film...that will minimize the rings. Not foolproof but it seemed to do the trick and a cheap solution. Sorry if you already knew that.

Hey, no matter what she looks like it'll be a learning experience and a challenge, so it's win-win. Though I doubt someone would fake all those myspace photos.

Yea I think in the text I mention the newton's rings. I use a plate glass to flatten. I had used little folded bits of card on each corner. No joy in removing them completely. The ones with next to none were after I adjusted my glass plate, and wasn't too bothered about rescanning the dodgy ones, I'd hoped to have nice prints to scan (until my enlarger broke on me!).

I should have read the text more closely. Anyway, I've just started doing more portrait work with my rolleiflex and it's really fun. I was at a school event called heritage day and while one of my students was recording interviews with attendees about 'what heritage means' to them I was shooting portraits. I'd like to do more of that...something in between landscapes and street photography in terms of interface with the photographer.

keep us posted on the next shoot

well I seem to be spending too much time on this forum anyways, so I'll update my sig when I have the blog of the next photoshoot and anyone who's interested can see the link 🙂

oh also, anyone interested in illustration? Rather than start an OT thread, here's the first 2 pages (bout 5-6hours work over the past 2 nights) of a story I been putting together off the top of my head.
