Well, we were jealous until Frank drew his little "bald, hairy, overweight 55 year old" picture and ruined it for everybody. Now I'm feelin' sorry for ol' Ash. 🙁 Run, lad ... run!

Yea I think in the text I mention the newton's rings. I use a plate glass to flatten. I had used little folded bits of card on each corner. No joy in removing them completely. The ones with next to none were after I adjusted my glass plate, and wasn't too bothered about rescanning the dodgy ones, I'd hoped to have nice prints to scan (until my enlarger broke on me!).

I had soem anti-Newton glass plates made for my scanner. They work well. I'll have to dig out the info-pm me if you like.

www.fpointinc.com has some for enlargers. They can do custom size AN glass as well. I just ordered some for my 4x5 negs.
