Actually reason of grittiness is surface of paper. It has a textured surface.

Great result (and image ) on your first try. Did a lot of gum printing back in the day when I had access to making enlarged negatives. It was so much fun. Might be time to take it up again.

There is a misleading situation that I have to correct. I didn't made the paper. Someone else in UK made it and I just bought itHandmade paper.
