Wow!! Instant reply. Thank you EcoLeica. I always imagine wedding shooters with their pro DSLRs and pockit wizards
. Multiple flashes with brollies etc etc. So nice to know that doing it old school gives very very nice results. I will seek out this 400h film. I really love the colors.

Congrats, I'm hoping to do the same shortly. I've got several weddings booked in the next year and I'll do them digital but I want to see if I can get a client to try film. I just got my M3 serviced and am looking for an excuse to get a second M body - needing a wedding backup would be just the ticket!

Nice shots to be sure. But a question. Were you the "designated" photographer for the wedding? Or were you meanly shooting some shots for yourself?
The reason I ask and granted I saw very few shots of what might be a MUCH larger collection but I don't think I have ever seen a set of wedding photo's so geared towards the groom with so little converage of the Bride.
I know for the weddings I have shot the bride would have disassmbled me had I ended up not consintrating on her for 75%+ of the photo's
Just curious.

Thanks Mark, yes i would have covered the bride more but as I said in my first post I was one of two shooters for the wedding, with the other guy covering the bride

Very nice work, Steve. I've not seen a lot of wedding photo work. But your shots seem very thoughtful, and creative. Atypical. Also, the color is beautiful. You can be proud of the results.

I have my FE2 kit as my backup at the moment but a bessa body might be nice...if i had the money...haha its rough being a student and lusting after leica gear haha. Also I have a rolleicord Vb and holga if they want any formal portraits done.
Don't need to chase the most expensive brand, today you can have a good slr system for nothing! Getting a fixed lens RF could be also a cheap but good backup.

Fine work, Steve! Great to see that a Leica and a couple of lenses can do work as fine as any out there! Please keep posting your projects!

Hi Steve,
That is really stunning wedding pictures with the M6.
I have the M6 too but shame of me that I haven't use it on a wedding before.

I encourage anyone with a leica M to give a wedding a go sometime! I find it a shame that few think the M is suited poorly for wedding snaps. Even though it isnt the quickest or most modern thing around, its size more than makes up for its short comings!
