After using all types of cameras for years I just purchased a Epson R-D1s. I paid a lot of money but the camera is in mint condition (800 shots), and I'm very happy with it.

It's my first rangefinder. I can say that never before I had such fun taking pictures. I love it.

I leave three photos taken in a second hand market with a Nokton Classic 35 1.4. Absolutely, street photography (I bought the camera for that). The second photo is a self-portrait. The third photo is out of focus but I like it.

Thank you for sharing!
Nice pics! Never sell it, or you'll regret it!
I found mine ad a bargain price and 500 shots. Almost mint condition. BW is great just out of the camera.
My D300 is going to be selled...
Enjoy!

Yes! With this camera, I only shoot in jpeg. The B&W is just out of the camera.
My dear 5D is going to be selled, too.
Thanks

beautiful photos, sea bienvenido!
el rastro?

ps: even if you like the BWs straight from the camera I'd recommend shooting at least RAW+JPEG, this way you have the backup raw file, which can be very useful. I only shoot raw with mine (also because I shoot in colour). high iso noise can be much lower using LR3 (or the upcoming LR4, let's see) to process the files and make JPEGs

Obrigado

Yes, it is. El Rastro! It’s a very nice place to street photography. Like the second hand market behind Ipanema Beach (Rio) on sundays.

Thanks for the advise, but I’d like the B&W and especially the (vivid) colour straight from the camera, much more than the processed raw with LR or similar. And the other hand, I have an iMac with a LED screen and I haven’t been able to see differences between the jpegs and raws of this camera, even at high iso, but surely there will be.

Finally, I hate the colour noise but I like the luminance noise because reminds me of the traditional grain; and you're absolutely right, LR works excellently with the noise.

I sold mine and I regret it:
- every time I look at posts like this;
- every time I look through my old RD1s images.

Really great camera - probably my favorite ever digital.
