I was disappointed at first that it was such an overcast day, but that ended up meaning I could really test the meter. Looking forward to shooting some B&W through it.

Looks sharp and the exposures are good. The overcast day combined with expired film means we can't take the colour as accurate, so you have both the b&w and some good colour film to look forward to!
How do you like the SP as far as handling goes? Of all my cameras the SPs feel best in my hand, tied with the OMs, of course.
Is that lock on the Trent -Severn?

Thanks, I am taking a trip to Toronto next week in which I plan to shoot B&W. Originally I was going to use my Yashica MG-1 for the trip but then this beauty fell in my lap. I hastily put a roll through it to ensure it works.
As for the handling, I like it. The mercury battery still works and I am very happy with the metering. I have an indoor picture of my daughter near a bright window that came out nicely too. It's smaller than the Yahsica, which is good and bad. I was able to fit the Olympus in my dress pants pocket (barely and without leather case) which I can't do with the Yashica. Loading film is a breeze, the teeth really grab on nicely to the sprocket holes in the film.
Looking forward to spending more time with it in Toronto and shooting some good street scenes. To answer your question the lock is on the Canadian side in Sault Ste Marie ON. It connects Lake Superior to the other great lakes. The Canadian lock is for pleasure craft mostly, the American locks are much larger and accommodate the laker ships.

The colors may or may not be accurate, but they look good imho. I have one that I am in the process of testing myself (along with a Perfecta and a Fujica AZ and a Minolta STR 101); so many cameras, so little time ).

Thanks for the good feedback. I shot the whole roll within 30 minutes in a hurry, so I am happy to have any "keepers". Wanted to get the test roll through as soon as possible at different shutter speeds and apertures to make sure it worked well and it performed beautifully.

I think the last photo is good. I pretty like it with that color.
Keep this camera! I took over 120 films on it on the last 2 years (only 1 was a color negative - I shoot mainly b&w but also color slides), and I have many photos which I think are good.

These shots are very encouraging. I've just picked up an SP and am in the process of running a film through it. Hopefully all will be well.
