My first slide with ZI (Finaly)

btw one thing to notice, I have noticed if I compose something in the center in the view finder I find that on the film it appears to be slightly shifted to the left, is this normal?
I just printed some of this images, results are astonishing!

Are you sure that you were composing in the center of the framelines? They move for parallax correction, but I don't think the focus patch moves. At close focus, that means that if you try centering your subject by placing it over the focus patch, it will end up shifted to the left in the final image, because the framelines have moved down and to the right.

I really like your slide photos posted here. If that's the out come of an average roll of film then you should be very happy. Many photos have a depth since you tend to place something close to the camera and other things with interest to the photo at the back. I also like the ones were you play with reflections in windows.

If anyone is interested I got some sample photos too with my Zeiss Ikon and Biogon 35/2. They can be seen at:

torhan : thank you! to tell you the truth those pictures are less than average, I mean I went out clearly to take pictures to test zeiss ikon, with that in my mind I don`t think I could have taken peaces of art 🙂 plus it was very very hot! and I could spend only half an hour otherwise I would have melt! 🙂 so yes! I am sitting and dreaming of times when I can go out and take pictures! 🙂
I have checked your images! niiice!!! I loved colored ones too!

Here are couple of shots with Kodak T-max 400 and 25mm ZM, I think 25mm is the best lens I have ever used, I am just trying different films so nothing special photo wise! sorry

Nachkebia, I love these shots. The Biogon 25 looks like a spectacular lens. Isn't it though f2.8? Kind of slow perhaps for after hours?

Thanks alot telenous, Yeah it is really stunning lens, and yes! all of them were shot at f/2.8 and shutter mostly 1/30 - 1/15 even low, I am absolutly in love with this setup!!!

Couple of shots I have done this and last weekend, enjoy (will upload them in gallery too)
Shot on 50mm ZM open wide with t-max 400 and developed in t-max developer 🙂

Okey, I just had one day free to shoot around with my new lovely camera,
Shot on 35mm biogon (without hood)

All samples show the really noble character of this lens, outstanding look, less on the contrasty side than I had expected !
That is more than just an alternative to the Leica look, the ZI folks seem have set their own standard.

Thanks alot people!
These were shot on 50mm, why should I use external viewfinder? do you know something that I don`t know? 🙂
