Just finished repairing my Pen D that was skipping frames, and it seems that I was successful! Did not end up with any extra parts, only one scratch in the camera and a tiny wound in my thumb... Possibly something that most of you could have done, but I'm just really happy I could too.
Only thing that still puzzles me is how a tiny fly managed to find its way inside the camera

Congratulations. I've found the Pens in general and the D range in particular to be pretty nice cameras to work on.

Congrats! Had the tiny fly issue too in a frame counter

Congratulations. It's always nice when it works out. I'm having a problem with my FT QL occasionally skipping a frame too, so I'd better ck for flies. Of course, this being Florida, the fly would probably be big enough to just club me w/ the camera and fly away with it, so maybe I'll leave things as they are.

Nice!, it's always great when you repair something yourself.

Repairing camera DIY is like going off the high dive for the first time.

Didn't stop there - just finished readjusting the rangefinder on a Mess Ikonta. Misaligned both horizontally and vertically...
