My GAS Is Ridiculous

I've been on some kind of weird GAS trip. In the past several weeks, I've gone hog wild over acquisitions.

1. Zorki 4k w/Jupiter 8 50/2
2. Agfa Isolette III w/Solinar 85/4.5
3. Agfa Ambi Silette w/Solinar 50/2.8
4. Voigtlander Vito IIa w/Color Skopar 50/3.5
5. Agfa Ambi Silette w/Solinar 50/2.8
6. 180 Zeiss Jena Sonnar for the Pentax 645

I bid WAY low on that auction site for the second Agfa Ambi Silette - it was just a lark, and the damn thing was won anyway!

I even went and loaded ALL of them with Reala 100, just so I can pull some bulls**t comparison of the results.

Please somebody. Tell me to STOP! I thought there might be an encounter group on RFF that could help me in my counseling?

Speaking of the Ambi Silettes, I'm still bummed I missed out on that complete set greyhoundman offered for sale last week. I think I'm going hunting for one on eBay.

Yes, this place is one big enabling site! What's fun is to see how equipment passes through various hands here -- almost as if those inanimate objects are acting like those therapy pets they have in nursing homes.

Talking of addictions,I find that GAS can be much worse after a couple of cans of strong Lager.A combination to be avoided,unfortunately!! 🙄

Case in point: Max (darkavenger) has the temerity to ask me about the 300 Sonnar :bang: ! My gawd, will it never end?

KoNickon (Nick): I have NO use for TWO Ambi Silettes, nice as they are...so, if you want to wait two weeks or so in order for me to make sure that all systems are working (I'm taking it to the rain forest for four days starting tomorrow, along with the other trunkload of GAS acquisitions), I'll get the extra one to you for cheap (and you'll be reasonably sure that the thing is hitting on all eight cylinders, or my name would be plastered in mud on this forum! Haha!).

This is how bad it can get! In luigi's case he is got the worst derivative of G.A.S. as in L.A.S.(Leica aquisition syndrome), Personally, I enjoy having N.A.S. 😎

I think this is the first step in relieving GAS, preferably down the High Street, naked.

The number of cameras I've bought a camera for "drunken times" that I wouldn't mind losing and then decided that they were too nice for that and then acquired the next "drunken times" camera... (Ironically, I did lose a camera in January - the £3.50 bastard had a Pentax 50mm f/1.4 on it)
