So, did the arrival of hats cease?
Hello ...... tap, tap ........... is this thing on?
~ ; - )

Much like that line from the Talking Heads song "Crosseyed and Painless"
'I'm still waiting.... I'm stilll waiting... ' ;)

Like I said, as long as it's here in Toronto before the November 12 meet I'm all happy about it :D

Joe, I thought the first snow had hit Edmonton last month ~ ; - )
We know how 'speedy' Canada Post is where you're concerned (The List).

we've had frost already but i don't remember snow.

usually by halloween...i always feel sorry for the kids, trick or treating with winter coats over their costumes in a blizzard.

My hat arrived yesterday. It's really a very nice hat and very practical for me since I drive a ragtop and no longer have thelkuxuroius growth of hair of my youth. I still have my old army haircut, only now I have the whitewall in the middle instead of the sides.

Anybody remember Mr. Moto or Argentina Rocca? This was back in the 1950s, or maybe earlier. Rocca was fun to watch for his acrobatics. He usually won because he was a good guy. Mr. Moto was evil and used a strange sleeper hold. It looked like he was rubbing the opponent vigorously just behind the ear. Their eyes would roll up and they would pass out and everybody would boo the ref for not stopping it and Mr. Moto because he was strange and evil.

My hat came. It's my nicest one except for the Tilley hat my wife gave me a few years ago.

Got mine yesterday in England. A lot better quality than the photo's can show. Thanks Jorge!

you must have been lurking for quite a while, Mr C.. welcome to the RFF club!

Thanks JoeFriday :D

I frequent the forums as a browser but that was my first post !

I really like the galleries. There are some very talented people here.

This may be heresy but there are many better pictures on this site than were shown at the Cartier-Bresson exhibition in Edinburgh recently.

I'll need to get a gallery of my own up and running in the near future but so much to do and so little time......

Mr C,
Welcome and thanks for the praise (collectively). I'm a Durham on my mum's side and a Finnigan on Da's.
Looking forward to your gallery ~ ; - )

I may be inclined to agree with you, there.

My hat arrived this morning and it looks great. I wore it proudly on my photo walk today. Funny though, no one said anything to me about my hat, but one diabolically minded seagull pulled away at the last moment -- out of respect, I'm sure ... :D

*sigh*
The waiting is the hardest part
Every day you see one more card
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

One day.. one day..... I'll have my hat..

Wow - you must be on 'The List' Dave. Even the folks in the UK have been getting their hats and look how much further away they are..

Never mind - it will be worth the wait. They are excellent :)

I couldn't believe how poor it was. Over 200 pictures and a definite case of quantity triumphing over quality (I'm going to be burned at the stake for that comment....)

There were some excellent pictures (the one of the 2 Belgian railway workers was great) but you really had to hunt to find them. Most of them were really poor quality reproductions. I was very disappointed.

Went to see 12 Martin Parr photo's last weekend at the Lighthouse in Glasgow and they were great.
