Hello guys, I once more would like to say how much I enjoy reading through all these threads regarding photography and cameras!

I just received my last camera I will ever buy (now it's time for lenses 😛).

During my vacation I work to afford this, my free time from school is 8 weeks, and I work for 7 of them. there's nothing as good as working for something because now every time I put my eye to the viewfinder I know this is mine and it will forever remain mine.

I love the way it feels in my hands, and the viewfinder, the shutter sound and smoothness. Damn I'm in love with this thing already.

Along side my other baby 🙂

After I complete this post I'm running to the city accompanied by rolls of tri-x 🙂

Goodbye, and life is good 🙂

Oh yes, you're going to buy lenses now, but don't think it's the last camera you'll ever buy... You're lost to GAS, but you don't knwo yet 😉
BTW, that's a pretty set of Leicas! Congratulations!

That`s and early version Summicron optic formula on the Summicron. There was a later version with wider ribs on the focusing. Yours is more like the collapsabe than the later one.

Next step is to find some of the brass film cassetts, a bench winder, and an ABLON trim template. The M cassetts are backwards compatable with the screw camera but not the other way around. When you use them in the 111C, the film will remain in position instead of falling down.

Thanks for the info! I just did some searching on line and the lens appears to be from 1959 which would make it an early rigid summicron. I'm getting back negatives next week, can't wait to see how some of my shots turned out 🙂

By the way, I also purchased a Sekonic L-308S lightmeter along with some slide film (Astia) Should arrive in a couple of days.
