My iIIIf iPhone 4 case is really here!

Hey guys.

I'm not too sure if I can mention this on RFF while not being a sponsor or anything. If this is NOT OK, please shoot me down. I'll delete the post and even delete the link in my signature.

Probably some of you've seen my iPhone case with IIIf graphic, and a test version case that I put on the classifieds.

Quite many people asked me if I'd make more, and since then, I've drawn a detailed illustration of the camera and produced a small batch of cases. Several were sold locally and via tweets/flickr posts I made before I listed some on Etsy.

Now some are on Etsy, and I tried bring down the price as much as possible (hardly any profit after all the associated costs). I know it's still a lot compared to ebay sticker/clear case stuff, but I hope some people do appreciate the quality and the whole concept behind this.

mgeary, you know, quite many people asked me if I could make one for 3G/3GS. I have only iPhone 4 and couldn't afford to make one (or more than one) for 3G just to test out.

If you or anyone with 3G/3GS want to be the "test subject" (technical way of saying Guinea Pig 😛), PM me. 😉

Haha. I'm not sure if he had Barnack Leica in mind, but the funny thing is the aspect ratio of iPhone 4 is extremely close match to Barnack's. I was imagining M Leica case when I had 3GS, but as soon as I saw the i4, that switched to IIIf. Maybe, just maybe Johnny was a Barnack fan. 😉

Yes the paint job is extremely durable.

Haha, I hope I can make other cameras, but I draw them from scratch so I've got very few selections to choose from. (I need to see the actual camera/lens in person)

I just made a new design though. It's iII from my own 1932 II and Summar 50/2 of course. 😉

Black paint Leica ain't real without brassing, right? 😀

Oh and because many people asked me, I made a couple of iPhone 3G/3GS version of iIIIf as well.
