My little viewfinder project got written up

I agree - I’m a modeler, and I’ve had projects ruined by CA outgassing. I plan on using either a small amount of epoxy or model canopy glue to secure my finder lid.

It's why I use Weldbond. No out-gassing,and dries clear in case there is overflow.

Yes, I know that, but prefer to eliminate a middleman site that obviously doesn't know what a kit is, or is trying to jack the consumer.

Can you suggest a good adhesive for use near optical parts? One that does not outgas and fog?

I have a Mamiya Six with fogged rangefinder which will need to be disassembled / cleaned/ re-cemented. From what I've read they were originally assembled with shellac. I may try a few dots of nail varnish. Have to work quickly and hope it doesn't outgas.

Browsing eBay I see several Canon Owl models.
Do all variations use the same viewfinder?

Got an owl for $5. Not in a box, but in a nice soft case, all new never used.
Also your kit is very well made, I'm looking forward to putting it together.

The OWL viewfinder is very nice, and this project by @splitimageview is terrific.

Makes a very nice, inexpensive, lightweight, 35mm viewfinder.

OWLs on eBay are a little more expensive now, but still a great bargain.
