Still charging the batteries, so I can't comment on functionality yet.

First impressions:

Well made, but certainly not one for the ages.

Plastic body is completely armored in soft rubberized finish. Feels great and warm to the touch. Very secure hold between the rubberized finish and the front grip.

Very small. I have small hands that it fits perfectly. Someone with large hands may find it a handful (in the bad sense).

Well balanced in the hand and around the neck with the stock 14-45mm zoom.

Stock zoom feels well made. No zoom creep in any position. Shade fits securely and lens cap can be replaced with shade in place.

Dials and switches feel solid. Some have complained about the mode dial being too easy to turn. In my few moments with it that doesn't seem so to me. Time may tell a different story.

The auto-focus lamp is definitely easy to cover with your left hand. Why didn't they put it on the right-hand side?

Fold out screen is great, and hard to find on digital cameras. Why don't they all do this.

No comments on electronic view finder since I haven't powered it up yet. The screen seems to have long eye relief. Great for glasses wearers.

The body loves to attract hand and facial oils. A real oil magnet, I think.

The battery and memory card doors do not seem as flimsy as some have claimed. Not for the ages, as I said, but par for the digital camera course.

That's all for now. I'm taking it on a trip next week and will report my experiences and post some photos when I return.
