I was graced with a most awesome xmas present today, my wife gave me an M3. Can I say I love my wife?

1959 M3, 50/1.4 Summilux:

...it is really a smooth camera, more so than my M6, a few "character" marks here and there but it feels sooooo good!

Me and my M3:

Wow that's really nice Todd. Can't wait to see your shots in the gallery soon.

I'm green with envy! I don't get any camera related gift for Christmas! Rudolf the Raindeer must feel too tired to travel from the North Pole to Melbourne. 🙁

Boy, am I jealous too. Congrats Todd, not only on the camera, but for marrying such an intuative wife.
I bought myself some film 🙄

aw right!
the man is back in action.

that old saying must be right...'that behind every successful man there is a woman'.

congrats todd. i noticed a new shot in the gallery taken with a leica and wondered...

Todd, I'm glad to see you with a Leica in your hands again 🙂
I'm also looking forward to seeing more images in your gallery!
Merry Christmas!

Great Christmas gift! I am looking forward to seeing photos from that Summilux and some opinions on it.

Merry Christmas

Such a nice present! She must love you dearly. You better come up with a good present for her birthday. 🙂

Congratulations on the M3. It just does not get better than that.

You are back in action, with the 90mm Summicron and Summilux.

Look forward to seeing more pictures posted; I am sure the pictures of your children taken with the Leica also inspired your wife to come up with another one!

Thanks guys, I think the Granite counter tops I bought for her kitchen swayed her decision a little 🙂

Todd

How about if you take a nice picture of her and post it, just so we can see what the ideal wife looks like? (Feel free to show her this post so she'll know what a great rep she's getting!)

What a gift Todd! Back on the road again with your new Leica gear! Now how could I suggest to my wife that she will buy me a new Zeiss Ikonta next Christmas! Any suggestions gentlemen? 😛

Hmmm... did I mention that some years ago I used to work in a kitchen furniture warehouse ?

According to actual Marble, Granite and Silestone prices, and having in mind the potential lineal meters in a normal kitchen, I'm not sure who may be winning here 🙂 😉

Not to mention if it was double thicknesss 😱
