Don't call me Ron
And this is in front of my apartment, taken with a Lomography spinner. Not sexy, neither the apartment, nor me squinting awkwardly into the sun ;-)

This is your neighborhood? I grew up about 4 miles north, but my grandmother lived a few dozen yards from where you were standing for this pic.Bremerton, WA

local shops 200m from my house in Freshwater (formerly Harbord), Sydney. It hasn't changed all that much since the 1960s, but there are now plans for massive redevelopment.
my local beach, Freshwater beach, Sydney. 5mins walk from my place. The building on the headland is the amateur swimming club. There's a pool on the rocks below. Disposable pano camera.
the local corner store just over a block from my place. Streets are quiet at night.
Just around the headland where the pool is there's a cliff walk. It's very popular. When there are big seas, spray can fall over the boardwalk.
About 15mins walk from my place is neighbouring Curl Curl beach. The sand dunes were bulldozed flat soon after the start of the Pacific War; now they've been revegetated and are a designated unleashed dog excise area.

It was built in 1925. We just bought it two months ago. They don't build them like that anymore.

This shot is from the new Manette Bridge looking down at the Port Washington Narrows...I live in Manette just a short walk from this point.

I'd love to have RFFers come visit here.
Remember though, we do have our rules.

If you need a rental car, we have the latest models.

We can also move your luggage and gear for a small fee.

There's also the local light rail. That is if you call empty freight cars "light rail."

And of course you'll need a place to stay. We have a few that have good rates.

You can get a drink if you have a mind but you'll have to plan ahead a bit.

There's also the vineyard and winery but they haven't had their first crop yet much less any bottled wine.

As a last resort, you could drive on out of town to the VFW. Tuesday and Friday night bingo for those of you who like to gamble.

And last but certainly not least there's PIV. No not that PIV. I mean the Poison Ivy Vine festival, the last weekend in June. For lovers of all that is PIV, it's a party not to be missed. They're running a little late this year but we expect the vines to show their green finery none the less.

Hope to see you here soon.

Don't even think of coming up this weekend. The ventriloquist convention is in town and the dummies booked up all the rooms in driving distance.

Desperate but not serious
Nearly every night these days a marine layer comes rolling in and cover's my wee burb. Nearly every night I hike up the hill and try and get in front of it as the photo opportunities can be pretty neat. I mainly am too early or too late to really capture it in it's glory.
