my new black leica ii d

I particularly prefer the black paint and chrome combo.

Yours seems to be a postwar conversion without synchronisation. These are my favorites too!

Erik.

Cameraleather.com has some of the nicest coverings I've seen.

The griptac looks great on screw mount bodies. Feels like a new camera when attached.
It's also very reasonably priced.

frank - - i've ordered before from akai ashai -- no leica ii listed, no color choice, website is a nightmare

most likely will order from cameraleather - just not sure which one to order

I have a pair of IIIc's as regular users. One with original vulcanite and the other with Griptac. I like the Griptac much better. It looks good and it improves the grip on what is a small, somewhat heavy and expensive camera. I am tempted to replace the vulcanite on the one but hate to take off original covering. Try Griptac. It's not expensive and if you don't like it you can try something else. Good Luck. Joe

ok, claret skin ordered....

HELP with lens -- am thinking 1 50 and 1 28 (summar, summitar, summicron???????????? am thinking to match the 1938 vintage--- )and for a 28 i can't help but return to the canon serenar 28... though I'll probably only be able to afford the 3.5 rather than the 2.8

any other suggestions --- still on the hunt for an ablon and a black rasul... the rabbit hole never ends

i know- -- it's a great lens --- the ebay prices on the canon 28/f2.8 are crazy high --- i could get a 28mm summaron or 28mm hektor for what they're asking for the 2.8 version

sweet -- everything is here -ordered the claret leather covering from cameraleather- have ordered the ablon, the soomp hood and... coolest of all.... SCNOO winder -- am gonna really get this bad boy going --- now for a rasul finder, a canon 28mm 3.5 ltm, and eventually a 12mm --- what other accessories are there?????

got the rosol finder and the ablon --- they were sold out of the soomp hood- - no biggie --- now to work on getting summitar and summicron
