Congratulations!
Don't you love that half-case? I feel ever so 50s when I use it.
(Though they're pretty hard to bend, you can open the brass strap fittings to remove them along with the strap remnants, and then use a safer strap thru the camera lugs.)

CORRECTION: Brass lugs of S3 case can be popped open, because they aren't full oval; steel or plated rings on S2 case have no joint & have to be hacksawed.
