My new website

Hi Taylan,

Thanks for linking your new web site. I like your work and was interested to see it.

Quick impression: nice clean interface, I like the way the projects pages load with a small image gallery, although the slide show of individual images loads quite slowly (~10secs for first image, following images 3-6secs to load).

I note there is no provision for people to order prints of your work - not sure if you'd considered that?

Congratulations on getting it up and running.

Regards,

All that lynnb said. I really like your interpretation of your childhood with current photos. What a great idea!

The layout and presentation are well done. Unfortunately, it loads very slowly. I think some casual visitors would click away before any images show up.

Taylan,

I always admire you for your love for darkroom printing, and your B&W street photos.

Congratulations for a good website with a lot of contents.

Thank you lynnb, bsdunek, Chris101 and shadowfox for your valuable feedback. At the first page it is loading 20 random images from the galleries. I think this is the problem for the first loading. I will try to find a solution for it. May be 10 photographs will be enough. After that this photographs turning in 3 seconds. First I did it 2 seconds but I got some feedback that it was too slow. Now I am confused  :)

Taylan,

10 is enough, I think.
And it gets people to go deeper into your website and discover your other collections.

Hi Taylan,
congratulations for your website. It's really nice, well conceived and presented. Your street vision is very interesting and original.
Your strong bw perfectly renders this vision.
Thanks for sharing it.

In general, I like the site, but I think you need more on the front page. I waited for a while, thinking that something was going to load, and if there was something, it never did. I feel like that big white hole in the middle needs something in it... it could be anything, really.

Fewer front page photographs works well for me. Having a few strong images will always make me want to investigate further into the site whilst keeping loading times down.

Clean and simple always works well to my mind but I'd agree with the comment regarding the large amount of white space, is it possible to slightly increase the front page image size?

On a side note, I like your project/gallery looking into your childhood influences, look forward to seeing more of this project.

Hoping your well
Simon

It is weird. I couldn't figure out why you face such a problem.

Yes there was something:) There is a mini slide show with random images. I think it takes some time in your computer for loading. But it should be around 5-7 seconds to load.

Thanks Simon. Yes I can increase it but it will cause problem at wide screen monitors. In that case viewers should scroll the page which I don't want at front page.

Here is a photo for you that I don't want to include my childhood project :)
