Hi, I just purchased the beautiful Zorki 3 that is in the RFF classified section. I currently own a Fed 2b and love it. However I am finding that operators manuals for the Zorki 3 seem to be difficult to find. I did search the threads and I have not seen any for that particular model.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Is that a Zorki 3 or 3M ? Both are very similar to Zorki 4, except that the 3 has slow speeds on a separate dial similar to Leica III. Try to look for a Zorki 4 manual...

It is a Zorki 3 slow speed dial separate from the high speeds.
Thanks.

I have two Zorki 3s, bought on e-bay, and when I bought one of them, an instruction manual came with it. Only one problem - it's in Russian, of which I am totally innocent. The illustrations make sense, but I can't understand a word of the text. There are surely translations in English, or probably some website has a translation, but the Russian version won't be of much use to an American!!
There are a number of websites that deal with FSU cameras, some of them rather tongue-in-cheek, but some even have sections on how to repair the Russian beasts. Try Google.

It`s an easy camera to use and not much different from other FSU`s but there are 3 important things to keep in mind with the Zorky 3 . These are :
1...never change the shutter speed unless the shutter is wound.( #1 FSU rule )
2...Make certain the top dial is set at 25-1 (embossed in red) before setting / changing the slow speed dial on the front.
3...never turn top dial between bulb and 1000 or vice versa. This is probably forbidden on other FSU`s too. Actually there is a stop or detente to prevent this from happening but it probably can be forced.
Other than this you can find instructions for a Zorky 4 on line by googling (Butkus camera instructions) The Z-4 instructions will serve you well.
