My Olympus 35 RC has arrived!

As my 35RC has quit setting exposure automatically I use it only in manual mode (which replicates Av mode). I love to argue it has stiff shutter release (because of extra linkages for AE). Then, all AE fixed lens RF's have stiff releases. Or too long. Or both. Yashica Lynx 14 is a beauty and has wonderful release but it's big, heavy and unbalanced with its monster lens. Lynx 5000 is better in this regard but both beasts have not most contrasty RF patch. And so on and on. There is no perfect camera. Probably this is why so many have so many of them.

No kidding, I have to tape mine shut because the door hook isn't holding the door tight and no matter what I do with foam; it still leaks. But that is a small price for a GOOD compact that I can, without problems, carry everywhere.

I have owned my 35RC since I was a child - I am now, err, much older! Recently had it CLAed and am still pleased at just how sharp and contrasty the lens is. I bought a 43.5 to 46mm step-up ring from SRB Griturn here.

This is APX100 in Orwo R09 (genuine 'old recipe' Rodinal):

Continuing the 35RC saga.

Just obtained the 43.5 to 43 mm filter step ring from China...and it fits and does not block the meter window. The reason I went for 43mm instead of 46mm was because I already have a bunch of 43mm filters and hoods for my Olympus Pen F and Pen D, they both have the 43mm thread size for filters and hoods.
