It happened after I finished my last roll. OM-4 works normal until rewind. I want to release rewind release button and make one winding at lens cap on. Mirror up and cannot down. Then I Remove lens cap. Mirror stills up and no meter reading on viewfinder. Even I changed new batteries my OM-4 stills no response; battery check no work and mirror up. The mirror can be release by red 1/60 and B. Only 1/60 and B working so far so I think circuit board has suddenly dead.

Is my OM-4's circuit board dead? Only thing I remember is I set film advancing level "open" at prior night.

Unless the OM-4 is very different from the typical SLR electronics layout, "battery check no work" suggests that the failure is located somewhere before it gets to the main circuit board - battery checks tend to be very low level. Either the new battery is a dud as well, or something in the power supply (battery chamber wiring) broke down.

Finally I use SR44 batteries from Recordata Back 4 and then battery check light on. I emailed John and he replied: "There is NO switch on the advance lever position. OM-4 does have constant low level battery drain." Now it looks like I need to buy more batteries...

Some later OM-4 cameras were fitted with the circuitry from the OM-4i, and will automatically switch off after one minute. Test yours to see if it does. If not, then remove the battery after each use.
