My photo featured by Duncan Miller Gallery

News: Found out last night that one of my photos would be featured today by the Duncan Miller Gallery's Your Daily Photography. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

The black and white photograph is of a person in a Polar Bear Costume jumping in the air in Coney Island on New Year's Day 2016 during the famous annual Polar Bear Swim event.

To get the shot I used a Sony A7 converted to infrared with an Anamorphic lens attachment on a 55mm Sony lens and an infrared fill flash. The photo is part of a series of photographs titled NYC Squeezed. You can see more on the Blurb eBook of the same title: eBook or printed book.

The chance of selling is slim -- what appeals to me is the opportunity to show work to their audience of collectors, photographers, and people in the industry.

I had a photo shown by them in 2014 -- that Bruce Gilden selected -- that was cool.

And it's different for me having a photo shown that was shot with a digital camera instead of my trusty Rolleiflex. I can never spell Rolleiflex correctly! LOL

Nice one Dan, I have received 'You Daily Photograph' since you recommended it a few years ago. It is fun to have one everyday, but have never contributed.
