Well-known
One day before my 53rd Birthday. 😀 😀 😀
I have a roll of Portra 160 NC loaded and ready to go.....
My wife has helped me with me with this one. Kat has saved $200.00 towards a photographic gift of my choosing, I almost got a scanner. Glad I saw a RFF ad for the R2. I traded a 3 lens Kiev 4a kit for the CV25. A great trade.. I also bought a smallish side mount Flash from a RFF member too. A Sunpak MG-1. Perfect size and power for indoor snaps of my son.
I have been using a DSLR now for a few years. and I had bought a Film camera as a backup to it. That got me back into film. than I found this site and, well, all the great topics, and RFF members posts help prod me into a RF camera. The Kiev was a taste to see if I liked RF photography. The Bessa R2 is the proof that I do like RF photography. I use the DSLR for Studio sessions mainly, and film for everything else....The R2 is a pleasure to carry too, so light and compact compaired to my DSLR with Grip and short zoom !!
I am looking forward to getting my first roll back. It may take a week or so to do it. I shoot only one or two of any subject. I don't like taking 10 shoots of the same thing. I try to be thoughtful and go through several angles in my head first, Than I shoot a few.
BTW, the R2 is now my new "have with me every day" camera.
I will post a few snaps in the near future..
