My daughter is a writer, and she asked me recently if I'd go to a local distillery with her to shoot some pics for an article she was writing about the place. I grabbed my Rollei MX and a couple of rolls of Tri-X, and we were off for Alameda Naval Air Station (ret.) for a morning of booze tasting and distillery touring. Here's the published article, and my admittedly meager contribution. She tells me that the distillery is interested in seeing more of my pictures. More Absinthe, anyone?

nice work! i like the caption under the photograph.

this could work out as a decent small job for you! good luck:)

Congratulations! I enjoyed the article and your photo. I can see in my eyes a bunch of half drunken hipsters swirling around you and secretly hoping they'd have a camera like yours ;-)

Nice read - you're a good team, though I would have liked to see more images accompanying the article. Any chance we could see your other shots?

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. I only got about three other photos, and I'll print those (wierd old wet darkroom) and post them here, and send them to the distillery through Amy. The MX transport jammed partway through the day, so not as many pictures as I'd hoped. Those stills are beautiful! All copper and tubing and kind of handmade-looking. Bay Area shooters should go out there and take the tour/taste!
