My Space ?

Reflected light from two and three dimensional objects that falls on the space that I am occupying at any point in time belongs to me. When I have my camera (light recording device in hand) and I record this light within my space does not the light image I record belong to me ? Most of the images I record I have no intentions of sharing with others mainly because I'm selfish and self centered. However, if I do decide to share an image with others does the image I recorded that belongs to me have any valid repercussion from others ?

Somewhat not confused on this issue but curious on how others accept this concept.

By your definition, you could take a photo of someone elses photo and publish it as if it's your own..

How about this:
That reflected light has a pattern based on what it is reflecting from.
The person who made that "mirror" made that pattern.
That you are standing in the way of that reflection may mean that you are depriving the intended recipient of that reflection.
I'm going to think on this some more but for now:
I think you can keep all the light you can hold on to but the pattern still belongs to the original maker.

Based on the same argument, the air you breath in belongs to you, the noise that goes through your ears belongs to you. Based on the same arguments you could sue someone farting next to you, or you could sue Britney Spears for making unacceptable noises.

Subjectively, the image exists only when you view it so in effect you “own” it, however if you photograph “your view” then it would become a different image when viewed again by yourself or others.

Objectively the image, or thing, exists and is owned by whoever holds the title or copyright

If its art however it clearly exists for its own sake so the creator and viewer are irrelevant, glad that settled
