"If you could get a good deal, you probably would love to have a brand new Leica MP with some really nice leather covering and NO working parts, so you could just sit there and stare at it."😛

Maybe Leica should start manufacturing designated shelf queens that actually have no internals aside from a lump of lead to simulate correct weight.

😀

There is an RFF member who owns an MP from which he had the entire metering system removed. I can't remember who it is, but I do recall that his thread about the meter-ectomy stirred debate and a little controversy. He loves the camera. Akiva, perhaps a little surgery is in order here.😀

I understand the message but that could also be understood as endorsement to buy!?! I'd be playing stupid right now and ordering up!

😀

Lead weight would be banned in EU. Just saying!

You mean like this and this and this and this and this and this?

The only $2100 M5 is a dummy M5, and the only $2700 M4 is a dummy M4. Collectors are crazy. Here's a business idea - buy a broken M4, rip out the innards and sell it as a dummy for a $2000 profit.

Youxin did this: took a couple of parts M4s and put them into a dummy M4 body. It's a beautiful camera.
