I hope you are all staying safe and that your families are safe and well too, as some of you may know I retired from a 34 year peri op and critical care career in late December, I went from working eighty hour weeks, (in full PPE) to a quite unnerving state of nothingness. My first Christmas not working in those 34 years was quiet and unsettling, I did not know what to do with myself. I had a few weeks off, mainly sleeping and listening to music and perusing this forum! At this point the UK was in full lockdown, about twelve weeks ago, she who must be obeyed suggested I move my limbs and 'blitz ' the house! I live in an old Victorian Terrace house that was once owned by a Victorian sweet manufacturer who supplied sweets in tins to the troops of the British Empire, (I digress), and so the blitz started, I removed decades of paint and plaster, uncovered hidden features, rendered and plastered, sanded, painted, .....restored just about every hidden original Victorian feature......twelve weeks later all that's left to do is lay a tiled floor in the hall! My finishing of the house blitz coincides with the partial reopening of the UK. I have told the wife, (commander in charge) that I shall be having a few weeks off while I start the M2 retirement project, anyway I thought the M2 might need company so I have added a Hasselblad 500 CM and a Rolleiflex to the project/camera arsenal! So I better get out there before the wife decides to give me another means to occupy my time.
