I just acquired a ZI few days ago. Love it, very enjoying to shoot.
However, just noticed that my lenses when mounting on the ZI not as firm as they are on my M5, especially with LTM lenses on adapters. I really feel that the lens is moving when i focusing, even make the 28/85 frameline slightly appear (i was using 50mm lens)....
This is not obvious when i use with summaron 2.8 M mount. but still my M5 is more stable, nothing move at all.
Do my ZI need a service? I took out the lens to check the mounting thread and and internal parts of the ZI, nothing seems wrong 🙁
appreciate any help...

There is a very very slight play on 50 Sonnar, but not enough to notice 99% of the tie and certainly it doesn't move enough to affect the frame lines. I'd get the body and lens checked out. If your using an adaptor you might like to make sure the lens is solidly mounted in the adaptor ortry a different one before spending more money on having it checked.

hi mike, thanks for response,
it maybe because my 50mm adapter is not a good one, i noticed moving is less obvious with my 35mm adapter or my 35mm M mount lens. however, all of them when mounting on M5 are very firm, nothing moves at all, this makes me quite disappointed.
Will borrow a 50mm VC adapter to try again.
