The poster JHP talked about his recurring nightmare of dropping his MP, which reminded me of my real-life nightmare in the making:
in the past month I've seen this strap come undone not when I'm wearing it, but when it's been at rest for unspecified amount of time. I mean, twice I've opened my shelf door to see the camera lying there, the strap undone, or loosened. No one but mehave had access to the camera, nor reason to handle it.
does anyone have had similar problem with this kind of strap/clip before? should i be looking for a new one? I'm thinking back to all the time this strap held up my camera while I handled 2 others, in a boat, over open water.....yikes!

In my experience, straps that are meant to be easily unlatched tend to unlatch themselves in mysterious ways. I'd get a different strap...
(I would guess that if you twisted and pulled the end in different, odd directions, you might be able to find the culprit.)
