Naming a camera!

My ASdee gets kinda held up with M8 ,Leica Digilux 3, Panasonic L1 / K10d , so I DO rename them emMa8 , L-eila , eLIe and Kirsten , and now Gina [ G1 ] but it's much more for my mind to avoid a kind of dee'slexia than for others to groan at ...my problem is remembering the names LOL . The Kontaxes don't get the privilege [ sigh of Kontax relief ]

I call my Bessa R3a a LEICA. (I can't afford one, and when I saved up for the first leica glass- the 50 summicron, my camera is no longer a voigtlander. It's a leica!🙂)

I generally refer to my Barnack III conversion as ' Miss Oskar'
and my M2 as 'She' or the M2.... 😛

Plain SILLY of me ...blame it on MOi being a Girl

Dangit. Why did you have to post a photo of that camera?

I once said hand "her" over to me to a camera repair guy and when he gave me my Moskva 5 he said "here's your bride". Compared to it the Olympus RC is a little Geisha.
Otherwise I still say something "her" when I mean a camera...on the other side if it's ok with ships why should it be different with cameras
PS: I talk to my cats even when I should shout

My all black Kiev 60 TTL is called "Oddioddioddio", (oh my God, oh my God, oh my God), from the exclamation of a dear friend, when she saw it for the first time, the day I bought it.
But it has also an other name, that's "Ordigno fine di mondo", I would translate it as "Armageddon device", from the movie "Doctor Strangelove": you must say it with russian accent, of course.

The only camera I have ever named is my IR converted D70, which was given to me by a friend. Because of the deathly way it images people, I badged it Nekron.
