I am planning to build my new darkroom in the next few months and have been steadily collecting all the paraphernalia which is sitting around the house (partner hates it). Today I pick up a Omega D2 4x5 with colour head. Domestically this is Defcon 1 as there is no where to put it except the lounge room!

If a 4x5 enlarger only gets you to defcon 1 your partner must be quite understanding.

I've always thought that was one of the more humorous aspects of relationships. "Hey, when did you get that new enlarger / camera / purse / boat / shoes??"

I'm building a detached three car garage, so I decided to add a small studio and darkroom onto the side while I'm at it.

FWIW, I'm at Defcon 3.
