Yep, heavy duty! R4 + Motor Drive and R8 + Motor Drive.

Going with the big guns but I need a comfortable strap for these bad boys. The D2H and D2X I used for years were not bad with the regular Nikon strap, however, this is another world...

Or, maybe a shoulder strap across the body? If so, which one is long enough and comfortable?😎

bandolero style...gordys are good because it's the same price no matter how long you ask for.
i have a big gut and first ordered a 58 inch strap and it fit but i wanted a bit longer so ordered another at 62 and it is perfect.
i use both now.

Yea, I found that both the Op-Tech with neoprene and the Black Rapid good. The Black Rapid is longer and better for a big gut like I have. OTH if you can lengthen the straps on the Op-Tech it to works well bandolier style. I prefer the bandolier style carry especially for the heavy stuff.

The Black Rapid is interesting but I don't care for the tripod mount for connecting the strap. The Up-Strap also seems to be a very good one for bandolier wearing.🙂

Domke Wide Gripper Straps here on my motor driven bodies.

Dave, I use the wider gripper strap on my d700. It helps somewhat. I've used the neoprene ones in the past. While they did soften the load, I didn’t like the “bounce” they gave my camera. In the past I used one of the slimmer domke’s on my f100, and it tended to be on the “ok” side of the comfort scale.

I have a couple Canon straps that have swivels on them. They work great on my Nikons. Honestly, they are the best straps I've found. Very heavy duty, I use them on my SLR's with grip assemblies, so there's some weight they are carrying around.

I love my Crumpler Industry Disgrace straps, use them on all the big boys. The Op-Tech is also excellent.

I use an Optech strap on my Pentax 67 cameras, and it is quite comfortable with the weight. I use a Domke gripper strap with my Rolleiflex, and it is also an excellent strap. I don't buy anything made in China, so the Crumpler straps are not an option for me.
