How to you carry your RF when in the streets?

I have a Gordy wrist strap and I typically have the camera in Zing pouch on my belt. Watching some of the old time street shooters like Winogrand, they have the camera on a short neck strap. What do you prefer and why?

I usually have a neckstrap fitted and have it wrapped around my wrist, nowadays that I'm using lighter, smaller cameras. It's handy to be able to hang the camera from neck or shoulder when I need my hands free.

When walking, it's normally in a bag unless I'm actually shooting.

These days a Luigi wrist strap.

I used to use the Artisan and Artist silk neck strap (wrapped around my wrist), but since getting a Leicavit I find the Luigi wrist strap works better (for me!).

Nikon D5100 - small Domke shoulder bag + wrist strap

Fuji X100 - neck strap (no bag)

Panasonic LX3 - wrist strap (coat pocket)

long time wrist strap user but recently started to use a very long (66 in.) round lance strap over the shoulder...i started to use wrist straps after discovering that neck straps helped to cause headaches...seems to hit perfectly a couple of pressure points...since finding the round straps and ones that can be custom ordered to any length, i switched.

That's pretty much what I do too. I used to use just a wrist strap, but a neck strap wrapped around my wrist is more versatile. A&A neck straps are quite short but seem built to be used this way.

Depends on the camera..

Fuji xp1 - neck strap... Depending on the situation, used normally as a neck strap (shoulder or cross body style) or wrapped around my wrist instead..

X100/dp1m/dp2m - wrist strap mainly.

If I'm just carrying the camera on its own, then the standard Leica strap is the one I use the most. At home and when the camera is in a bag, then I go for the wonderful wrist strap that I bought here in the classifieds from Robert who makes them himself (user rlouzan). It looks like this:

Always on a shoulder strap worn across the chest "bandolier" style. Never understood wrist strap users.

I have a Gordy strap on the Canonet. Domke neck straps on the SLR's & I love my bessa neck straps on the Bessa R & L.

Hi, i use mostly the leica wrist strap code nr. 14 406, it´s the best....it´s sturdy and has the classic leica fast lock that is used on every neck strap.....thankfully i was lucky to find a pair of these wrist straps...:)

When going around with my family i use the leica neckstrap...

Neck strap or nothing. If I am walking around and sliding the camera in and out of my pocket then I use no strap. Otherwise I use the regular Leica neck strap.

Standard Leica neck strap. When out shooting I wear it around the neck like a casual tourist. The tourist look really helps when shooting people. Otherwise I carry it across the chest.
