Neck strap & wrist strap

I am trying to find a strap system that allows me to quickly change between a neck strap and a wrist strap. I want something with some sort of quick detach that allows quick changes. I am sure that all of you who use a wrist strap would like to put the camera around your neck occaisionally. I prefer to use a wrist strap but there are times that I would like to have my hands free and still carry the camera. Split rings take waaay tooo long to remove. I suppose that I could leave both attached but the neck strap becomes an annoyance when the camera is on the wrist. I have also tried using the neck strap as a wrist strap but it is generally too bulky and the strap wants to block the rf window.

So what do you think and what do you use. I am open for ideas. The Strap and clip over at Lutz's Leicagoodies site is a possibility. You could keep the strap around your neck and unclip it to use a wrist strap. Has anybody used this setup?

Luigi has a quick release connector that you can opt for instead of the split ring. He offers it for his neck straps, and you can get a similar wrist strap.

Op/Tech USA. I have their neoprene strap, it's a neck strap with quick release connectors near the camera which will connect to each other to make a wrist strap too. I got mine from SpeedGraphic.

If you'll want it, I will gladly make for you a special strap, which
right (or left) end IS actually also a wrist strap. With three of
my very rapid fasteners, you'll be allowed to:

1- use them together as a normal strap, quite long
2- detach the strap, and use the WRIST strap, alone
3- detach the wrist strap, and use the neck strap, alone (shorter,though...)

(Special) price for both, (say) $ 80 + $ 10 for Registered shipping.
Making time, three working days.

Luigi is The Man!!

As much as I love my Luigi half case which my M3 wears, it is the strap that takes the cake!!! Amazing stuff.

I use the Leicagoodies strap (look closely to understand how it really works!

The strap quickly attaches to one side of camera with snap fitting,

Use the wrist strap of your choice on the right side - I prefer the optech one mentioned above.

In use the camera slides down the strap to your side and quickly slides up the loop to your face when you want to use it. I just leave the wrist strap attached to camera at all times.

It works far better than described and is quite discrete and inexpensive.

Of course the small bag and wriststrap as suggested above is great - except when you don't want to carry a bag.
