need 28 elmarit help

Hi all,
Does anyone know the serial number ranges for all version of 28 elmarits except the new asph?
I'm looking for the most classic look on b&w film with one of these. I'm thinking maybe version 2. Version one would be ideal (in fact I have one, but with a damaged rear element that Sherry Krauter can't fix), but it's too expensive.

How much do you think I should prepare to shell out for version 2?

Google Erwin Puts for the serial ranges. The 2nd version is very nice, has lots of character. I don't see them for sale often and users go for around $800, and another $100 to $150 for the hood. For some reason version 3 is most common and cheaper.

I have a Mint- 4th version for sale in the classifieds here posted 6/4 for a reduced price of 1100 US. Comes with original box. leather case, rear cap, original hood with original cap for hood. Also B+W filter on lens. Best edge performance of all 28 elmarits including the new ASPH 28.
