Need a bag for extreme rain conditions

After some thought, I have decided that I just don't trust my F-803 bag for my upcoming trip to Venezuela. We are going right in the middle of the rainy season. And I just don't think that a canvas bag (no matter how many times I spray it with Nikwax) is up to the task.

So to all of you out there who shoot in heavy rain conditions, I am looking for bag recommendations. I will be carrying one M body, 35/50/90 lenses, lots of film, and a Minolta autometer IVf. I would like a bag that is as low key as possible as I will be doing a fair bit of street shooting in Caracas (i.e. I want to call as little attention as possible to the fact that I am carrying a camera). Suggestions?

Many of the LowePro (Nova?) bags have a rain cover that you can pull out and put the bag in, Rafael.

you might consider a second walk around bag like a holster bag drop a second lens down in the bottom, maybe add a divider from another bag and then the camera.

another thought is one of the four point straps that holds the camera to your chest keeping it under your coat or windbreaker until you pull the camera out for the shot. I wore a holster bag around my waist when I toured Israel. the link is for one shoulder/holster type

a lot of ziploc bags for lens, body, films, etc. assuming you will not take photo in the rain. put them in the ziploc bags.

but more importantly there are moistures. if you are in the rain forest, it is difficult to dry. i had my lux fogged in the morning and after rains. next time i will try to find some gels to absorb the moist.

Check out the Mclassics bag. I've had mine for a few years. It's 100% waterproof, light, and easily accommodates a rangefinder and two to three lenses.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have opted for a Timbuk2 Classic Messenger bag. The waterproofing on this bag looks to be excellent. And, combined with zip-lock bags and silica gel packs, should give my gear a fighting chance against the rain. In case anyone is interested, the insert from the Safrotto F-803 clone fits perfectly into the small size of the Timbuk2 bag.

You want to call little attention in Venezuela and have a water proof bag? I live in the near country of Colombia and what I use is a Totto bag (is a Colombian brand but they make very good products) whis was meant to carry your lunch to work. The outer part is made of canvas, inside it has a plastic thing which keeps temperature constant (it should keep your lunch warm untill midday) and does not let water pass inside (we have heavy rain as well and I am absolutgely positive about this). You also just look as anyone with his lunch and it should cost you around 15/20 US$ or maybe even less in any Totto retailer. It comes with a plastic bottle and a lunch container too! Of course, it does not have any division inside but it has a rubber band which keeps the bottle vertical and which I use to keep the light-meter out of the way and I put the lenses into the usual container. There are many models and here you can see one. I immaine other brands make similar products, in Spanish they are called "Loncheras".
