Need a quiet vacation,

said my wife. Somewhere secluded. Tropical. Miles and miles of secluded beaches.

Just laze.

OK. I said. Slung the X100s over my shoulder. And off we went.

The X100s, unfortunately, burnt through two battery chargers. The Battery compartment lid has come off.
Lately, it upped and died.

These are some memories, of that holiday.

Was this a single battery or outlet that killed the chargers? A lot of problems there for sure.

I have the original X100 still going strong. I recognised early the flimsy gate for the battery and card: I never ever leave it open. I close it, at risk of walking out with no battery or no card while I'm recharging or downloading, but the fear of bumping it with those flimsy hinges dominates.

Somewhere the dopey removable bumper is gone from my charger so I have to wedge the battery in with a bull clip of the right size.

Generally I am happy with the camera.

Lasse, I honestly don't remember whether it was the one battery and multiple
Chargers, or either/or all of them.

I enjoyed my time with the X100s. Shall wait to see what arrives following the X100T.

Archiver, they are just slip ons. Our suite was on stilts in the sea with a glass floor between the bedroom and living area...
