Need a Reccomendation For Leica IIa CLA

Sherry Krauter (Golden touch Camera Repair), or Don Goldberg (DAG Camera Parts).

It may be long time before you get your camera back from Sherry, she's kinda gruff, rarely responds to e-mails or phone calls, but it's worth the wait. She did a beautiful job of restoring a much-neglected Leica iiig for me.

Don's been very helpful over the years. Recently he did a very nice job of de-oiling the aperture blades on a Nikkor 50mm LTM lens, and cleaning up a TUVOO I was lucky to find (still in original box--looks like it never got sold) for me.

Stay away from John Maddox (L & J Camera). .....he had my IIIc K stepper for almost 3 months for a CLA......

3 months and no results, that's crazy! Sorry to hear this, Youxin Ye has worked on (3) of my IIIC K's (including my extremely valuable 1943) and they are ALL working like new, he also photographs the inside crates for me, showing all numbers (matching) I have never had an issue or problem with his work, he is a true professional 🙂

Steve do you think your II has a lack of tension in the curtains ? That's easy to adjust and then check out the shutter speeds.
Is the rangefinder patch still contrasty ? I can also fix this.
Where are you living ? I could take a look at it maybe.
My email is joanbont@yahoo.com
