Need advice on first time use of D76

I'm going to pickup some D76 next week and try it 1:1 and see how it goes. It'll be interesting to compare the results to what I've been getting from HC-110.

some math: a pack of D76 makes 3,8 litres of stock developer.
If I use it at full strength, it takes me about 300ml each time: about 13 developments.
Diluted before use I can do double the amount of developments, the total is 7,6 litres.
I am wondering though if direct re-use of 1:1 diluted D76 is sensible. I mean, doing two rolls of film one after the other.
Or - I should get another reel in my tank!
